WHO WE ARE
Carolina Hollnagel, Director
Carolina’s Bio
In October 2020, Carolina worked as a free-lancer for 615innovations on various research projects. It only took a few weeks for 615innovations’ CEO to realize Carolina’s stellar work ethic and significant contributions to the company. In November 2020, Tina asked Carolina to join 615i as our Director. Based in São Paulo, Brazil, she is successful at wearing many hats. Her largest responsibility is managing, monitoring, analyzing and reporting all digital marketing data for both 615i and its clients. She also conducts business and competitor research and follows social media trends to ensure 615i is providing the most innovative solutions to our clients. She also spearheads all content calendars, executes on strategies and even assists with creative design and various marketing campaigns.
As a sailing athlete during her teenage years, she learned very young to have responsibility and commitment, which played a crucial role when she moved from Brazil to Germany at 17 years old to attend university.
In 2019 Carolina graduated from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences with a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering and International Management. In 2021, back in Brazil, she completed a postgraduate program in corporate finance at Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), the top think tank in Latin America according to the University of Pennsylvania.
Carolina’s first experience in business development was during her first internship with Racional Engenharia, one of Brazil’s top Engineering and Construction companies who managed more than 600 projects across Brazil in the industrial, commercial, science & technology and infrastructure segments. Her main responsibilities included monitoring the competition, researching new opportunities and calling prospective clients.
In 2018 Carolina was accepted to the highly competitive intern program of the U.S. Commercial Service in Frankfurt. (The U.S. Commercial Service is the trade promotion and inward investment arm of the U.S. Department of Commerce. The department helps U.S. companies enter or increase their presence in global markets and invest in the United States.) Carolina was tasked with a variety of responsibilities including helping American companies find international business partners and collaborating on projects related to trade fairs such as Automechanika, Buchmesse as well as Franchise EXPO and the ITB, the world’s leading travel trade show.
After her internship with the U.S. Commercial Service, she decided to take on a new challenge and moved to South Carolina, where she was an accounting and finance intern for PRETTL Group, a multinational German company in the automotive industry. Her main responsibility was to monitor and report daily plant sales in the US, Mexico and Brazil. Carolina proved to be a valuable part of the team and was therefore asked to take the lead on onboarding and training all new interns.
While 615i is quite the switch from Carolina’s international experience, she loves working with a start-up who allows her complete autonomy and the ability to explore various facets of the business. She especially enjoys being able to interact with clients because she can see the impact of her work almost instantly. Being half German and half Brazilian, she found a balance between her two nationalities in the American business culture. She is also excited to be working for a company based in Nashville as it is a city she adores. In 2019 she visited Nashville and was impressed with not only its southern hospitality and charm, but also all the innovation, businesses and technology that is coming to the city.
In her spare time she likes to work out, play piano, travel and spend time with her Rottweiler.
